1. Who controls your data

MatchLens Pro is operated by [legal name / trading name] of [business/service address]. We are the controller of your personal data for UK GDPR purposes. Privacy contact: hello@matchlenspro.co.uk.

2. Data we collect

We may collect account data, authentication/session data, legal acknowledgement data, subscription references, fixture unlocks, saved picks, selected fixtures, prediction views, account preferences, technical/security logs and support messages. We do not store full card numbers or card security codes.

3. Why we use it

We use personal data to create and manage accounts, provide football analytics, manage free and paid access, process subscriptions and cancellations, secure the service, record legal acknowledgements, respond to support, maintain accounting/legal records and comply with law.

4. Lawful bases

Our provisional UK GDPR lawful bases are contract, legitimate interests, legal obligation and consent where optional marketing, non-essential cookies or analytics are introduced later.

5. Payment data

Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider. MatchLens Pro may store payment references such as customer ID, subscription ID, plan status and billing period so we can manage access and billing support.

6. Football data providers

We may use third-party football data providers for fixtures, results, statistics, standings, squads, injuries and line-ups. We do not need to send those providers your card details. If a provider receives personal data in future, this notice must be updated first.

7. Service providers

Core/provisional providers include Netlify for hosting, Supabase for database and account data, Stripe for billing, Microsoft 365 or another email provider for support, and approved football data providers. Processor terms and international transfer safeguards must be evidenced before launch.

8. Cookies and local storage

MatchLens Pro may use strictly necessary cookies or local storage to keep users signed in, manage secure sessions, remember account preferences, record age-gate or legal acknowledgement state and support account features. Optional analytics or marketing cookies require updated notices and consent controls.

9. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed. Exact periods still need final confirmation for account post-closure data, subscription/accounting records, legal acknowledgements, support messages, security logs, saved picks and backup deletion cycles.

10. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we will rely on appropriate UK GDPR safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to EU Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions or another lawful mechanism.

11. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability or withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

12. Children

MatchLens Pro is not currently intended for children under 18. Because football content may appeal to younger users, the age approach and Children's Code position require solicitor review.

13. Automated outputs

MatchLens Pro uses automated calculations and models to produce football predictions, probabilities and analysis. These outputs are about football fixtures and teams; they are not automated decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects.

14. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures such as encrypted connections, restricted access controls, server-side database protections, password/session security, payment-provider checkout and audit logging. No online service is completely secure.

15. Marketing and contact
